DCD Driving is a drawing program used by course designers for horse driving.
FEI Level 4 course designer, Mr Johan Jacobs teaches FEI educations for course designers and gives courses and presentations at all levels worldwide. He asked me if I could also create a program like DCD jumping for driving sports, which would be a huge convenience for his students. This is how DCD (Digital Course Design) Horse Driving was created in collaboration with him.
With DCD you can make your drawings for the cones competitions and the marathon obstacles exactly to scale, down to the millimetre. You can also measure the length of the course and calculate the minimum and maximum time. DCD, like all other internationally used design programs, is based on Microsoft Visio professional. This makes it possible to easily exchange drawings! Using the endless possibilities of Microsoft Visio, we can use our own creativity to create a unique drawing!
DCD was compiled by Frans Berings, (Thanks to Hector Loyola from Puerto Rico, international course designer and Visio expert.) who has more than 45 years of experience as a national course designer at the KNHS (Royal Dutch Equestrian Federation), he is an instructor and trainer of show jumping horses and is Internationally certified Course Designer FEI 1.50 mtr
